The Towers & Galvanizing (T&G) Division started operation in 1985 when Zamil Steel entered into a technical collaboration with ABB SAE Rebosio S.r.l., of Italy, for the transfer of technology in a field in which they are the world renowned pioneers of galvanized steel tower design and manufacturing. The (T&G) Division provides design, fabrication, galvanizing and testing of the following products: Power Transmission Line Tower Radio and Telecommunication Towers Radar Towers Roof Top Towers Wall Mount Towers Substation Structures Railway Electrification Structures Any other type of Lattice Steel Structures The hot dip galvanizing plant, with a existing capacity of 36,000 MT per year and a new plant to commence operation soon, offers this service to customers who need anti-corrosion coating on steel products requiring long lasting protection. The annual production capacity is 60,000 MT. Major portions of the towers manufactured are exported to various parts of the world in addition to meeting the increased demand for local transmission and telecommunications projects.
