Planning Manager Job - Schneider Electric K.S.A.

Job Outline:
The Planning Manager is overall in charge of the production and material planning and is responsible for managing the planning activities in EPS. It is a critical role that ensures efficient and smooth flow of material across the supply chain responsible for the functions of Planning, Procurement, Transit and Stock Management.

Duties & responsibilities:
• Lead a team of Planners to achieve the Planning KPIs in line with the business requirements.
• Lead supply chain initiatives and improvements to optimize the planning process.
• Develop guideline for supply and demand alignment decisions.
• Conduct ABCFMR analysis to decide on the optimal stocking policies.
• Lead the continuous improvement projects to drive out inefficiencies from the supply chain
• Develop MPS based on the forecast to help in long term capacity planning in production.
• Periodic review of the Logistics Offer to ensure it captures the existing supply chain constraints.
• Identify and respond to exceptional demand by putting proper actions in place.
• Root cause analysis: Routinely conduct the RCA on material shortage to provide long term solution.
• Work in close coordination with POMs to meet the project deadlines

About the role:

The Senior Planning Manager will lead a team of Planners and Allocators in a dynamic, fast-growing, branded Retail business. This new and high-profile role will have direct interface with the GM and other senior members of the management team.
The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience :

FINANCIAL PLANNING

- Direct and build multi-year financial plans in support of brand objectives.

- Create and execute business strategies designed to meet or exceed revenue, turnover, and margin goals, seize new business opportunities, and adapt to evolving market conditions within each region.

- Evaluate financial performance to pre-season targets by sub-department, and recommend strategic business shifts based on opportunities and risks, through monthly forecast and action plans to senior management and regular open-to-buy team meetings.

- Present divisional financial position, results, forecast, and action plans to senior management and team members during regular business recap meetings. Include total sales, comp sales, gross margin, operating margin, and inventory turnover.

- Partner with Finance team to manage the department P&L.

MERCHANDISE PLANNING

- Partner with Buying and Merchandising to strategize, develop, and manage divisional, departmental, and class bottom-up merchandise plans, using historical data, market feedback, and current market trends. Develop promotional and markdown strategies to manage inventory and maximize profitability.

- Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer expectations in line with the annual product development calendar. Constantly analyze inventories to determine how to increase turnover and reduce mark-out-of-stocks.

ALLOCATION

- Recommend and execute seasonal and tiered merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer expectations. Develop departmental distribution strategies to capture location-based opportunities.

- Manage and oversee all allocation, store planning, and merchandise planning strategies and processes.

- Manage fixture and store capacity plans at the total store level; ensure buying strategies and processes dovetail with and optimize store unit requirements. Oversee and approve model stocks, size analysis, and store volume ranks.

LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT

- Manage and supervise the career development process for a team of 12-15 by mentoring, promoting rapid skill development, identifying strengths, and improving performance. Direct formal and informal training to produce a team that contributes consistent financial growth to the business.

- Communicate key timelines, deliverables, expectations, and priorities to the Planning and Allocation teams.

- Provide leadership in a multi-unit environment. Provide thoughtful counsel which will enable senior management to make informed decisions and achieve profitable growth.

- Create a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers, divisional, and cross-functional partners including Retail Operations, Product, and Logistics teams.

Customer Service & Distribution Planner Job - Nivea

The main purpose of this role is to manage the Supply Chain Process from order to cash with given partner accounts.

Main Accountabilities:

SD Master Data Management
- Collect and create all needed SD (Sales & Distribution) Master Data.
- Audit & maintain the Customer and Prices master database.

Sales Order Processing
- Set up and maintain customer listings and pricing on Excel and System and complete order process through system in line with procedures.
- Maximize order fulfillment by reviewing order to ensure it is in line vs. Truck or Van load ability and with stocks at warehouse.
- Liaise with third party logistics provider for order picking & outbound delivery performance.
- Organize transport & send invoices and any required legal documents for shipment.
- Proactively review and manage any query internally and externally to ensure process improvement actions are put in place thus ensuring re-occurrence and maximization of cash flow.

Relationship Management
- Provide external and internal customers with a single point of contact on all order/distribution logistic activities regarding outbound to customers.
- Organize regular logistics contacts with customers to ensure Supply Chain opportunities are maximized, costs are minimized and key processes are understood.
- Develop Customer Supply Relationship with customers in order to fully understand day to day requirements. Respond to specific requirements, identify and build upon areas for development in order to maximize benefit for both parties. Create and maintain customer Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
- Understand key distribution routes to and warehouse operations at customers. Develop relationship with key distribution/warehouse personnel at customers.

Trucks Management
- Planning of outbound shipments.
- Building maximum utilization of outbound transport units.
- Provide two months trucks requirements.
- Setting up of dispatch timing.
- Monitor trucks locations and trace report.
- Communicate trucks arrival timings to customers.
- Review and track PODs “Proof Of Deliveries”

Reporting
- Report key data linked to „Perfect Order‟, service and availability to ensure KPI targets are being achieved and order to cash cycle is being maximized.
- Report customer queries and complaints and follow up on a monthly basis on measurement.
