PARC COORDINATOR Job - Danish Refugee Council

Overview:

The PARC Coordinator is responsible for the management of the DRC’s Protection, Assistance and Re-integration Centres (PARCs) network in Iraq (PARCs in Kerbala, Wassit and, to a lesser extent, Diyala) established within the UNHCR-funded PARC project component, under the supervision of the Project Manager for Protection (PM), in accordance with the organization’s mandate, priorities and donor agreement.

Key duties and responsibilities:

 Lead on the drafting of the PARC work plans and timely coordinate the operations as per the plan;
 Provide a daily technical support to the PARC teams;
 Centralize the correspondence related to the PARC activities and act as a focal point for the PARC vis-a-vis the external stakeholders;
 Undertake periodic review of each PARC performance (operations and staff) and submit the recommendations to the line management;
 Monitor technical challenges faced by the PARC teams and report to the line management;

 Programme development:
- Contribute to PARC-component’s development, including identification/recommendation of potential new areas/possibilities for DRC intervention;
- Contributing to the development of strategic and operational decisions with regard to PARCs, pertaining, at minimum, to the designated geographic area of responsibility;
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to PARC-related monitoring and evaluation schemes.

 Representation:
