Goals/Mission:
- Support Project Management in the successful implementation, communication, monitoring and reporting of the Project Health and Safety (HS) plan. - Provide expert advice to support Project Management and report (HS) performance to the client and Project Management.

Working Partners/Contacts:
Internal: - Energy Transmission (E T) and Energy Transmission High Voltage Substation (E T HS) Management. - Head of Projects. - Sales/Tendering. - Headquarters. - Corporate departments within Siemens WLL. External: - Customers (Utility, other Contractors and Developers. - Consultants. - Suppliers.

Tasks:
- Implement, monitor and review HS plan on site. - Report on monthly basis to client and Project Management on HS performance. - Provide expert advice to Project Management, engineers, subcontractors etc. - Ensure subcontractors awareness and implementation of the plan. - Conduct HS site induction. - Hold tool box talks and HS meetings with all HS representatives on site. - Monitor the work on site for unsafe practices and behavior. - Check observance of the permit to work systems as required. - Provide advice and expertise on personal protective and safety equipment. - Participate in internal HS reviews and HS site inspections and audits. - Frequent contact with Project Management, subcontractors, client representatives and regular contact with HS personne. - Participate in risk evaluation and risk reduction. - Monitor compliance with occupational health standards and welfare arrangements.

Skills

Knowledge/Languages:
- Quality assurance and control management methods. - HS management methods. - Project management methods. - International HS standards. - Fluent in written and spoken English.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in initiating and implementing quality assurance / quality control and HS processes. - Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a team of multinational subcontractors.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
