Industrial Hygienist
Qatar Chemical Company Ltd.

Education & Experience:
Five (5) to Ten (10) years experience required working as an Industrial Hygienist, preferably in an Oil & Gas or Petro-Chemical setting.

A Bachelor of Science in Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Natural Sciences or equivalent is required.

Internationally accepted certification as an industrial hygiene professional is also a requirement, (i.e. CIH or BOHS).


Duties:
The successful candidate is expected to support the organization by providing expertise to the organization in the application of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) practices, by ensuring the company stays current with all codes, standards, regulations and best practices principles related to OH&S.

Develop and maintain an IH management plan for the organization, including IH sampling and monitoring programs

Work in consultation with Medical Services to develop and manage the organizations medical surveillance programs.

Act as Radiation Protection Officer (RPO)in the management and registration of the company’s radioactive sources.

Maintain the Hazcom program, chemical approval process & the facility’s MSDS system.

Conduct investigations of working conditions in order to prevent occupational diseases and industrial health hazards.

Provide support and leadership to guide the efforts of the IH Technician team.


Other Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office software is needed and experience with SAP would be a benefit.
