Human Resources Assistant

Job Description:
The Human Resources assistant assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment.
The HR assistant has partial responsibility for these areas:
• recruiting and staffing logistics;
• performance management and improvement tracking systems;
• employee orientation, development, and training logistics and recordkeeping;
• assisting with employee relations;
• group-wide committee facilitation and participation;
• group employee communication;
• compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping;
• employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting; and
• employee services;
• maintaining employee files and the HR filing system;
• assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department.
The Human Resources assistant contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
The Human Resources assistant helps with the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR staff; reports to the HR General manager, and assists group managers with HR issues.

Waad Holding Company is a well established, diversified, family owned, conglomerate based in Jeddah. The Holding Company is a “For‐Profit” organization and will include a new charitable foundation (under formation).
The business is currently undergoing a restructuring process which will result in 4 Strategic Business Units and 4 Staff Functions being formalized.


KNOWLEDGE & LEARNING GROUP

The key focus of this group is the Educational Sector. Current operations include Dar AlThiker Schools and Al Thuraya Education. Dar Al Thiker Schools was founded in 2001. It currently has some 950 students from Kindergarten to Senior School levels. This number is scheduled to rise to 1, 650 by 2011. Al Thuraya Education is a new College/University being established in the north of Jeddah and is scheduled to open in 2011. The target intake for the college is some 7, 500 students at full expansion in 2016. The College will offer a range of courses in Engineering, Applied Management Sciences and Information Technology.

This Group plans to open additional schools and kindergarten commencing from 2010 onward.
