Sun Technical Support Engineer

-Will be responsible for support of Sun Servers in assigned client locations.
- Around 5 years experience in Sun Support Function
- Hands on experience in Sun OS 10 and good knowledge and experience in Sun Cluster, Symantec storage foundation and Enterprise Netback up.
- Experience with Entry level, mid range, and high end Sun Servers.
- Sun entry, midrange ( StorageTek and High end storages (Hitachi ))
- Entry and midrange StorageTek Tape Libraries.

Skills

- Degree in Computer Science with required Sun Certifications.

****** Technical profile:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in managing large Solaris based infrastructure;
* Understanding of UNIX internals and Security;
* Methodology in investigating technical issues;
* Fully confident with scripting languages (shell, perl, etc...);
* Fully confident with LDAP technologies;
* Fully confident with SUN Solaris installation server;
* Fully confident with SAN/Veritas technologies;
* Fully confident with TCP/IP networking protocols, including multicast routing;
* Understand communication between applications to troubleshoot performance issues
* Certified Solaris Systems Administrator 1 and 2 + TDC certified on Sun H/W
* An engineer who has had exposure to the above mentioned product line. Should be strong in Solaris Administration, Sun Hardware installation and maintenance,
* Candidates should have decent communication.
* Candidates should have knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager. Should be strong on Unix concepts

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
