Welding Inspection Services
Moody International

Ensure that Contractor and Subcontractors are followings the applicable project Specifications, client's General Specifications and International Codes / Standards.




Follow-up the Construction Contractor activities in Nigeria and ensure the contract applies.


Manage/Perform all Company quality inspections related to welding activity.


Witness welding procedures qualification and welder ability qualifications.


Monitor welding consumables management by Contractor including consumable test report (MTRs).


Ensure that the construction yard is provided with suitable information and resources in line with their requirements (both technical and schedule). Provide strong input in the resources management (equipment, consumables, manpower).


Follow up the welding activities and insure proper records (welding/NDE/inspection records follow-up).




Occasionnaly:






Be the focal point with the Project Welding Engineer.


Identify the critical activities and bottleneck for the progress of the modules or vessels related to welding. Anticipate; propose solutions to improve welder’s productivity.


Identification and follow-up of any Non Conformance (NCRs).


Troubleshoot technical problems that may affect the construction and liaise with the welding engineer and engineering team for the resolution.






The Welding Inspector shall liaise with the Third Party (Certifying Authority) in order to get review and approval of the applicable documentation and records.


HSE:

Ensure all HSE issues are properly addressed and monitored by the construction team within his discipline and report to his management in accordance.

Skills

The ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company. In addition, the Candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills.


10-15 years experience with Project background within Oil & Gas industry. Construction experience is required on structural, piping and vessel installations. Experience on construction yard in construction contractor team is required. Experience on West African yards a plus.


Minimum 5 years experience in all aspects of Equipments Qualifications and practical knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ISO, API, ASTM and ASME.
