IS Administrator

1.POSITION PURPOSE:

-To Support, maintain, develop and test software for DHL and provide solution to enhance business requirements.

2.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

-Support IS manager in developing solutions for existing business requirements.

-Develop, implement and test applications on project basis.

-Maintain developed applications in an operational state at all time and provide updates as needed.

-Support IS supervisor in Daily support tasks when required.

-Liaise with internal staff and understand their business needs to provide appropriate IT solutions in order to enhance their productivity.

3.NATURE AND SCOPE

-Position Context

This is a Key position within the LB IS, which requires a mix of technical and interpersonal skills and good understanding of business priorities.

-Reporting Relationships

Directly reports to the LB IS manager.

Analytical thinking and problem solving are key qualities for this role, an example would be identifying business growing needs and providing solutions accordingly

Is limited to the design of application, based on the project requirements.

Preparatory work is extremely essential for successful development and to ensure tasks are complete on schedule.

-Position Challenge
Main challenges for this role is time-to-fix and keeping abreast with ever changing technology.

Skills

•Must hold a BS in Computer Science or higher.
•Have a minimum of 3 years experience in software design, supporting PC desktops, NT servers, LANs and WANs in a medium to a large-scale company.
•Must be highly proficient in - HTML, Java, C, C++, .Net, UNIX, Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Server), DOS and various Desktops programs.
•Maintaining a practical working knowledge of current developments and innovations in an extremely volatile technical environment
•Must have good inter-personal skills
•Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision
