Store Manager
Matalan Business Trading Company
Matalan is one of the UK’s leading clothing and home wares retailers offering quality fashion and home wares at half the equivalent department store price. Founded in 1985 in the UK, the brand trades from over 200 locations in the UK and is now expanding in the Middle East with our first store being in Jordan. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual who wants to grow in the organisation and long term take on a more senior role.
Key Accountabilities:
Operational:
•Comply with the Payroll Model and effectively deploy available resources through the utilization of the Branch Master Schedule.
•Achieve same day door to floor delivery and maintain the Stockroom to Model store standard.
•Actively Duty Manage in line with company guidelines.
•Recruit, train and retain a high caliber team with the right competency level to deliver retail execution objectives.
•Effectively manage all employee relation issues in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
•Effective and efficient handling of all stock to maximize availability, aid replenishment and avoid unnecessary marked and damaged .
•Conduct regular commercial reviews to explore and identify profit making opportunities to drive sales and minimize loss.
•Implement visual merchandise updates and phase layouts as per guidelines and timescales.
•Implement all promotions and initiatives to achieve 100% adherence to company guidelines.
•Implement and utilize all Point of Sale materials.
•Analyse relevant reports to identify stock and cash loss areas of risk and develop action plans to minimize loss.
•Comply with Profit Protection and Health, Safety and Fire procedures in order to provide a safe working environment.
•To create a pleasant shopping environment and the provision of exceptional customer service by interacting with and valuing customers.

• Job Location will be in Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Kuwait / Jordan / Syria / Lebanon.
