Our Client is a leading industrial conglomerate.
The group is looking for an operation director for one its strategic Business Unit specialized in Oil & Gas services (EPC).

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the guidance of the Managing Director, the Operations Director will be responsible for the planning, management, and profitability of the projects assigned to the company. Accountabilities include executing and managing the success of Oil & Gas services projects.

• The position is based in Lagos - Nigeria

RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be responsible for the effective management of the company operations in line with the strategic direction set by management
• To develop and recommend annual operating and capital budgets
• To manage, plan and resource projects in order to meet project deliverables in accordance to contract requirement with respect to time, quality and cost
• To review thoroughly and understand all service contract requirements
• To ensure operations and services are in line with Company's QHSE policies
• To provide guidelines for effective, safe, and technically sound operational practices
• To ensure proper documentation of all operations, and formulates reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
• To ensure technical, logistical, and operational support of all ongoing service contracts
• To have a clear and complete understanding of the customer operational needs and requirements
• To gather and monitor information regarding customer satisfaction for continuous improvement of service performance
• To be responsible for all regular operational reports to both customer and internal hierarchy
• To regularly exchange operational data (stock levels, product consumption, handling and repair) with Finance Department.
• To identify the necessary technical, operational, and commercial resources for the successful execution of future projects
• To report and act on any deficiency or irregularity of ongoing service contracts
• To interact and engage with external parties in order to enhance the reputation of the Company and facilitate the growth of the business
• To directly support and train field supervisors on contract
• To hire, coach/mentor, provides direction, and review performance of operations unit staff.

Skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated experience of minimum 15 years within the Oil & Gas services industry (EPC)
• 5-10 year experience in a similar position
• Engineering degree with confirmed experience on EPC Projects management
• Executive Management Position experience with multiple activities
• Work experience in Africa, Nigerian experience is a plus
• Influence & Leadership skills are requested, especially to work in a very challenging environment
• High degree of personal integrity
• Result oriented, cost minded, capable to handle pressure and to meet deadlines
• Excellent command of English
