We are seeking an IT Manager for a newly established Institute for Vocational and Technical Training in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible to provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunications facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the administrative and educational staff at the Institute. This position is charged with strategic planning and operational decision-making to for all technology related initiatives. The IT Manager reports to the Director of Operations.

Essential Job Functions

•Work with administration, faculty, and staff to assess and respond to campus IT needs.
•Establish Institute’s infrastructure to support and guide divisions and departments in computing and information technology efforts.
•Establish and supervise the operations of the IT helpdesk providing quality and timely support to college employees concerning hardware and software needs.
•Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff.
•Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
•Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements.
•Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
•Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions.
•Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
•Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
•Assume other special assignments from the Director of the Institute.

Skills

Required Skills

•Must possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant technical knowledge with good management expertise.
•Strong ability to multi-task and troubleshoot multiple problems simultaneously.
•Ability to develop and implement efficient and effective operational processes and procedures, internal controls, and procedure manuals related to IT.
•Extensive experience in Oracle Database Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows and Linux Operating System required.
•Experience in end user troubleshooting and support required.
•Prior experience in Student Information Systems, PeopleSoft and UltiPro desirable.
•Experience working with educational IT/software systems is required. Banner a plus.
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in written and oral form in English and Arabic.
•5-7 years experience in an IT management role.
•Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is an asset.
