QUANTITY SURVEYOR - CIVIL / ARCHITECTURAL

JOB DESCRIPTION.
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Project Manager, the Quantity Surveyor - Civil/Architectural, manages all costs and quantities related to civil and architectural works of the project, from the initial calculations of the tender documents to the final figures, in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

 Prepares the bill of quantities and costs related to civil and architectural works.

 Monitors the actual quantity installed / constructed and compares the same to the contract and tender quantities and cost.

 Prepares bar bending schedules.

 Coordinates with planning regarding all related planning quantities.

 Provides quantities for invoicing and contractual claims if required.

 Prepares cost estimates of variation orders related to civil and architectural works.

 Estimates quantities and cost of works related to civil / architectural works for tender documents.

Skills

A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architectural / Civil Engineering with more than 5 years experience in estimating costs and quantities of civil and architectural works for construction of large-scale building projects. Well versed in the applications of MS Words, Excel and other estimation computer programs.
