QUANTITY SURVEYOR - ELECTROMECHANICAL

JOB DESCRIPTION.
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Project Manager, the Quantity Surveyor - Electromechanical, manages all costs and quantities related to electrical and mechanical works of the project, from the initial calculations of the tender documents to the final figures, in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

 Prepares the bill of quantities and costs related to electrical and mechanical works.

 Monitors the actual quantity installed / constructed and compares the same to the contract and tender quantities and cost.

 Coordinates with planning regarding planning quantities for electrical and mechanical related works.

 Provides quantities for invoicing and contractual claims if required.

 Prepares cost estimates of variation orders related against electrical and mechanical works.

 Estimates electrical and mechanical quantities and cost for tender documents

Skills

A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with more than 5 years experience in estimating costs and quantities of electromechanical works for construction of large-scale building projects. Well versed in the applications of MS Words, Excel and other estimation computer programs.
