Senior Merchandiser
Retail Group

Retail Group Jordan, a leading fashion retail company, is looking for Senior Merchandiser for its fast growing operation in Jordan:

The qualified candidates should have the following requirements:

• To lead the team in planning, sourcing, developing and delivering products at the right cost and at the right time to achieve Company’s gross profit.
• Active involvement in analyzing and forecasting company’s sales targets to ascertain OTB’s.
• Handling an annual buying budget.
• Breaking up of annual budgets category wise, with assortment plan for key categories.
• Analyzing the previous season at category level taking into account stock to sale ratio.
• Assortment and range planning based on seasonal predictions comprehended.
• Active participation in planning the promotional calendar and buying at appropriate time to ensure availability.
• Confirmation of orders, follow up on all import related procedures to ensure merchandise is shipped on time.
• Monitoring and recovering due amounts from the supplier.
• Regular visits to the stores to evaluate store management and giving inputs on visual merchandising.
• Pricing the goods while maintaining a mix between company’s profitability and market competition.
• Identifying shortages/excesses, slow and fast sellers within the department and taking corrective action.
• Conducting market surveys and performing market tests to improvise on product assortment.
• Post seasonal reviews and setting KPI’s.

• Strong Interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Fluent in English
• Having a strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Having a strong forecasting ability skills.
• Excellent Microsoft applications, namely Excel.
