Assistant Director for Operations
Qatar Foundation

Job Purpose:

Provide the primary leadership and management for the effective and efficient day to day operation of the Education City Student Center.

Key Result Areas:

• Oversee the operations staff of the Student Center and provide support, training, supervision and evaluation in order for them to be effective.
• Develop and maintain guidelines for the efficient coordination of all custodial and maintenance services with Facilities Management.
• Develop and maintain guidelines for the required coordination of safety and security services with HSSE.
• Develop and manage all service contracts for the various commercial operations within the Student Center.
• Develop and maintain a program to train students as student building managers for the night-time and weekend operation of the Student Center.
• Review and monitor all expenses and revenue throughout the fiscal year to assist in the development of the annual operating budget.
• Serve as a member of the senior leadership team providing vision and planning for the successful ongoing operation of the Student Center.
• Implement and supervise a room set-up system to insure the success and satisfaction of all scheduled events in the Student Center.

Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- A Master’s degree and a minimum of five years experience in higher education is required.
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related field is highly desirable.
- A minimum of three years experience in the management of a student center or student union is also highly desirable.
- Experience with the management of a new or newly renovated facility is desirable.
- Experience with contracted services such as food service or bookstore is desirable.
