GIS Manager
Parsons International Limited

A comprehensive, island-wide GIS system is being established by our Client which will incorporate the data that has been produced including utility design data and as-built data. This system will mostly adhere to local authority’s specifications for GIS systems and in line with the Municipality’s centralized GIS system already in place.

The GIS Manager will establish the processes and procedures for the conversion of the engineering data as well as providing guidance to simplify the conversion process going forward. It is required to take the MX output in CAD form and clean this output to create the appropriate file extension such that our Client can directly upload that data into their overall GIS model. This will involve working in the MX 3D platform and all engineering disciplines like transportation, bridges, utilities). The GIS Manager, dealing directly with the Client, will establish and lead the GIS team that will be engaged in this effort.

Skills

A Bachelors Degree in GIS or related Engineering and 10 years experience are required.

He / She should also have: experience in GIS database design and development, GIS training, project management, field data collection and GIS analysis; knowledge of engineering designs using various CAD programs and the conversion of this data into GIS formats.

He / She should be proficient in the use of ESRI GIS software, ArcGIS, ArchInfo, ArcView, 3D analyst, spatial analyst.
