Role Summary/Purpose


Essential Responsibilities
* Responsible for driving approximately $ 200 MM orders, $ 180 MM sales, and $ 100 MM of margin within the region.
* Own all proposal operations across the region, the strategy development process with the Region Commercial Operations team and the risk management process.
* Provide overall commercial process leadership and lead the commercial team of approximately 18 people to support commercial offerings and negotiations across the various product lines within Optimization and Controls business (OC).
* Develop and maintain an effective interface between operational functions, to include Technology, Project Management, Quality, Sourcing, Health Safety and Environment & Supply Chain.
* Lead the Customer Services Representative team in support of the commercial process
* Drive process consistency across the portfolio with special emphasis on Policy 5.0 requirements and guidelines. Responsible for process compliance audits.
* Engage with Sales team and employ consistent deal review processes with the Sales team and local risk teams.
* Continuously refine proposal operations across the OC business, with special emphasis on Lean opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
* Drive an improved Order To Remittance handover process to ensure proper control of contract flow-down requirements.
* Responsible for managing Commercial/Platform performance utilizing business and Inquiry To Order metrics
* Provide oversight on commercial support of operating metrics, centered on offerings and individual productivity, to promote proposal throughput, yield, cost, and efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements
* 5 + yrs of relevant experience in GE Energy Sales and Commercial Operations
* 10 + yrs of experience within the Energy industry
* Commercial experience is a must
* Engineering (or equivalent) degree from a 4-year educational institution
* Excellent ability to provide commercial and risk solutions to complex deals
* Demonstrated inclusive behavior with success in leading in a matrix organization
* Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
