Project Engineer
Benyan Development

Main Function:
To provide site engineering and technical skills and expertise for the construction process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations:
 Provides technical advice for any change of design at project sites to
Project team, consultants and contractors.
 Monitors the progress of civil works at sites, pointing out delays in civil work and advising changes.
 Compares project specifications with site conditions to assess the feasibility of successful execution of the project.
 To ensure that all relevant technical information is available to the
construction team at a zero defect level.
 To eliminate waste in all forms including labour, materials, plant and staff, especially targeting the prevention of rework and to get it ‘right
first time’.
 Attends progress and technical meetings with
Subcontractors/consultants for project evaluation and technical advice.
 Liaise with supervision, management, surveying, planning, safety,
quality and commercial teams and provide them with information as
required.
 To raise technical queries where information conflict exists or is
missing, and act on responses.
 Advise all subordinates on their duties
 Interact with Construction Manager/ Planning Engineer/ QS to update on activities at site
Guidance and Supervision:
 Supervises and follow up with civil works supervisor, foreman, charge hands and other personnel for monitoring and timely completion of project.

Planning and Budgeting:
 Plan and communicate targets for project completion.
 Prepares and revise costing and estimations for civil works executed through out the project.

 Weekly meeting with Construction Manager to update him about projects progress
Weekly meeting with relevant project team to discuss and resolve project issues.
 Meetings, as required with other department heads whose personnel are involved in any project.
External:
 As Required Contacts with Consultants.
 As Required Contacts with suppliers and sub contractors.

Job Requirements:

Education
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction activities.
