Cargo Manager - New Venture / Middle East
Emirates Airline & Group

Position: Reporting to the General Manager, the role will lead the implementation of Dnata processes and manage all day to day airport operations across both passenger and ramp environments with responsibility for: safety, security; customer service delivery; resource deployment; ramp operations; flight operations and load control functions, facilities; staff satisfaction; cost control; process improvement and efficiency; and stakeholder management.

Dnata is selectively expanding its Airport Ground Handling operations around the Middle East, North Africa, and across Asia. These roles will form the leadership team of a new and exciting venture in the Middle East.

Dnata is seeking expressions of interest from executives who possess ground handling experience. Terminal management experience will also be highly desirable. Most importantly candidates must have demonstrable leadership qualities and a record of success in the aviation industry, along with energy and commercial acumen to ensure the highest possible service standards are met.

Skills

Experience and Qualifications:

University graduate in a business discipline with 8 years experience in ground handling / cargo / airline / travel industry, of which a minimum of 4 years in a managerial level.

Possess a drive and determination to deliver unparalleled standards of service within a difficult operating environment

Fluency in both written and spoken English are essential
Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of ground handling operations (Passenger Services, Ramp and Baggage Services, Flight Dispatch and Load Control, Departure Control Services)
Must possess excellent people management skills, with highly effective communication and negotiation skills
Previous experience / awareness of Middle East markets in the airline/cargo industry.
