Senior Lawyer - Litigation
UNITED DEVELOPMENT COMPANY
To organise, conduct and handle disputes resolution and deliver the highest quality of legal assistance to the General Counsel, legal Manager and the Executive Management, in order to curb and eliminate any negative impact of litigation and resolve disputes efficiently, swiftly and in a highly professional manner
Skills
Gather evidence to formulate defence or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing client departments, witnesses and collecting documents to ascertain the facts of a case.
Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
Analyse the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of law and precedents.
Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation in liaison with the out door attorneys.
Prepare legal briefs and opinions on cases and potential disputes.
Providing advice and, where appropriate, conducting arbitrations under all the major procedural rules.
Advising on and conducting complex multi-party, multi-jurisdictional disputes.
Working to bring disputes to a swift and cost effective solution.
Advising on disputes resolution including mediations and settlement negotiations.
Drafting arbitration and alternative dispute resolution provisions for high value commercial Agreements.
Supervise and coordinate the work of outside attorneys and consult with them on sensitive litigation issues
