Senior Electrical Design Engineer

This leading architectural, engineering and planning consulting firm require a senior electrical design engineer reporting to the head of the department, for design and supervision of electrical and low voltages systems.
- Design (concept, design development and final design), design review of all stages to achieve the intended function.
- Establish design criteria based upon TOR and latest requirements in line with good engineering practice.
- Prepare system design descriptions.
- Follow QA/QC procedures related to Electrical design.
- Coordinate with other architectural/ engineering disciplines during all stages of design.
- Conduct value engineering studies for all electical and low voltage systems during design development and final design phase for major projects.
- Prepare technical specifications for Tenders including systems specification, quality of products as per latest design and construction codes.
- Review of latest design software.
- Monitor the work of the drafting staff.
- Maintain updated knowledge of all local regulations/ guidelines relating to all aspects of electrical design.
- Perform site supervsion if required.

Skills

A solid ten to fifteen years experience in a consulting engineering firm and have BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering, and be a member of Kuwait Society of Engineers and Ministry of Energy (MEW).
