Civil Engineer - HV Cable / Cabling Technology

Our client, a truly global company with over 10, 000 employees is a leading manufacturer of all types of cables from fibreoptic communication to HV electric cables. They are currently looking for a experienced Civil Engineers with experience in Cable laying projects and technology for an ongoing HV (400, 000 volts) major underground transmission project in Qatar.

You will be responsible for management of the project from tender to delivery on a technical front, while also being aware of the financials of the project and being the main point of contact for the client.

Previous experience in Qatar, and knowledge of obtaining road opening applications in Qatar would be a considerable advantage.

Skills

speak Arabic
be in possession of a Civil Engineering degree
have experience of cable laying
be proficient with AutoCAD
be in possession of a driving license.
Proven and Demonstrable track record
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage conflict and provide solutions
Customer orientated, motivated and proactive with an entrepreneurial drive to succeed
Good analytical, strategic and mathematical skills
Capability to form customer and employee relationships and manage and adapt to multi-cultural environments
Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
