Summary::

For this job, an outgoing, energetic professional is required who would like to make a mark in industry in the Middle East. This is ideal opportunity for IT Managers and Consultants who are looking to gain solid experience towards becoming CIO.

Reporting directly to CIO, the IT Director Delivery & Solutions is the key and strategic role within IT function focused on meeting current and strategic business requirements. The incumbent is in charge of a team of project managers, business solution managers and business analysts. His/Her team's primary responsibility is to:

Deliver best utilization of existing solutions for business and maintain a strategic direction for IT solutions
Partner with Alghanim business units
Manage IT projects from project assessment through the implementation, effectiveness assessments and handover to IT support

Key Responsibilities::

Must have business and leadership skills to mobilize and influence for outcome
The candidate should have strong business background with some structured analysis and design working habits - building business cases, assessing process and information flow models are key
Work in partnership with business units to:
fully understand the key business drivers, processes and needs
propose IT solutions helping the business to achieve its objectives
Ability to identify process gaps
Ensure all business projects are designed and delivered in line with business requirements and priorities and are on time and on budget
Manage IT service vendors towards a partnership and optimum solutions
Manage the IT delivery team (utilization rate, people development, performance review

Skills

10+ years of experience with thorough (hands-on) expertise in implementation of standard packages as well as in custom in-house solutions
Ability to structure and model business information flow for analysis and communication
Ability to liaise at senior levels of organization with strong influencing skills
Leadership skills, with emphasis on energizing and creating momentum
Some background in any structured data/business systems analysis techniques would be advantageous
Good understanding of business processes in diverse industries (Retail, Process and Engineering) in small and medium businesses
Proven project/ program management skills and experience
Coaching skills
Implementation experience with SAP package will be a plus
