DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing site staff, including Site Engineers, Site Inspectors, Document Controller, HSE Engineer. Supported by Quantity Surveyors and Schedulers, shared amongst the contracts. Monitor and record the contractor’s execution of the works, with full powers to ensure that the work he performs is in full his compliance with the Contract under which he has been employed, or any agreed variation thereof. Comply with Parsons’ QA/QC procedures. Development of an appropriate management system and matrix of responsibility that allows you to: Manage staff under your control. Review and advise PM on the approval of contractor’s programme, methods statements. Approve and monitor contractor’s qualify assurance and control and approve material submissions etc. Ensure that all appropriate and relevant field records are maintained. Maintain all records required by Parsons QA/QC requirements. Reporting progress and cost to the PM. Supporting PM in negotiation of cost variations, extensions of time. Ensure compliance with the Contract. Ensure complete compliance with HSE contract requirements. Certify measurements and payments. Advise PM of potential claims and progress slippage. Prepare Completion / Maintenance certificates. Contract close out.

Skills

Degree in Civil Engineer, preferably Chartered / Professional Engineer, MICE or MCIWEM. Candidates should have 15 years minimum of similar work with progressively increasing responsibility with at least the last 7 years of those as a Resident Engineer working overseas or in the Gulf region. Candidates should have experience either in a Sewer Pipe Laying Contract or supervising Water Supply Projects, involving heavy civil engineering works, pump stations, reservoirs, steel, ductile iron and HDPE pipelines. Candidates should be familiar to FIDIC Conditions of Contract. Candidates having a valid GCC driving license would be a benefit. Candidates must be proficient in English both written and oral.
