Transaction Advisory Services- Consultant

As a member of staff within the Transaction Support team, you'll participate in due diligence engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. You'll prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation. You'll work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Client responsibilities
• Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
• Participate and assist in preparing for meetings with target management teams
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

People responsibilities
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining Transaction Support professionals
• Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
• Build strong internal relationships with members of the Transaction Support team and other Ernst & Young services.

Skills

Technical Competencies

0-2 years of demonstrated experience in the following skill sets:
• Collecting and analyzing data / information from various data sources
• Analyzing financial statements
• Microsoft excel skills
• Report writing skills
Further the candidate should have prior experience in the following areas:
• Market studies
• Feasibility studies
• Due Diligence
• Developing simple financial models

Qualifications
• A relevant first level university degree, with GPA not less than 2.8/4.0.
• Excellent command English is essential and strong Arabic is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Previous experience in working with multi-cultural teams.
• Previous experience in the consulting arena and in one or more of the above technical competencies will be a plus.
• Experience with one of the big 4 would be a plus

Technical skills requirements

• Knowledge of IFRS
