//www.potterybarnkids.com/The Distribution Center Facility Maintenance Technician provides, basic facility maintenance and support for both equipment and facility related items, owner of pallet repair area, and assists with housekeeping and preventative maintenance. Also assists with facility vendors.Responsibilities :
Five years experience and training in the repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of dock shelters, sheet metal components, trash compactors, and operational support equipment which includes floor jacks, lift devices, floor fans, floor furniture, and facility lighting. Five years experience and training in repair and maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical and electrical devices. Good written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to read, interpret and apply information contained in written reports and work order form to complete assigned task. Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel, in particular operations personnel and other maintenance team members is required. Ability to appropriately select and utilize a variety of diagnostic tools in accessing equipment problems and trouble-shooting. Must be able to read blue prints, and/or schematics to diagnose problems and or new equipment installations. Available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift work if required. Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift. Works harmoniously and cooperatively with peers and subordinates. Other duties as may be assigned.
