Estimation Engineer

- Study customers enquiry documnets to identify specifications and
requirements.
- Quantity required materials from the drawings or MTO and issue
enquiry to Procurement Dept. if materials are non-standard items.
- Evaluate the fabrication labour man-hours.
- Calculate the cost of treatment required in accordance with the
project specifications and the type of construction.
- Analyse the number and cost of various pieces of equipment for site
requirement.

Skills

- Fully conversant with international codes and specifications for
materials (such as API 650; API 2000; ASME; AISC; ASTM).
- Extensive exposure to engineering design, procurement and
contracting in steel industry.
- Capable of analyzing project scope of work, client requirements,
BOQ, project milestones and specifications from the supplied bid
documents, capable of preparing detailed cost sheets (capable of
integrating engineering, procurement, construction and delivery
tasks into detailed costing).
- Excellent statistical and numerical skill.
- Proficiency in computer including Excel, sound exposure to
estimation software.
- Fully conversant with all aspects of tendering process.
- Oral and written communication skill in English.
- Should be able to work on own initiative and within a team.
