Facilities Manager

Job Brief :
Identify the need and finalize maintenance contracts where relevant and possible for all Danzas owned or managed properties including facilities engineering services, specialized system services and facilities support services ensuring that the provisions of these contracts are comprehensive enough to comply with industry standards and legal requirements. Approve recommended service providers/contractors for all facility related construction, sundry works and consumable requirements, endorse purchase order approval to the General Manager as and when such requirement arise. Manage technical and engineering contractor/ supplier activities in all Danzas sites. Ensure preventive breakdown maintenance by approved and appointed contractors of properties are promptly and effectively carried out with records maintained; identify and report shortcomings in responsiveness, quality of repairs. Carry out periodic inspections or audits of all facilities and promptly attend to any unreported faults/ repairs or risks and make recommendations where appropriate for upkeep of building so as to ensure that all Danzas owned/ managed buildings are safe ans secure and project a professional look . Conduct cost benefit analysis and initiate projects conducive with assuring returns as per the budget. Manage the technical and engineering aspects of DAEI projects and future expansion as well as external customer's requirements as and when requested by clients. Provide technical support and expertise to internal and external customers. Ensure that all facility related constructions, modifications and installations requirements, approvals/ permits, are obtained and in accordance to standards and regulatory requirements (JAFZA, DAFA, civil defense and other regulatory bodies etc.) Manage / uphold relationship and regular contact with clients, landlords, utility providers, consultants, contractors, all concerned and government authorities (DAFZA, JAFZA, EHS CED and likes) and parties to ensure company new buildings, modifications, expansions, maintenance and repairs are completed without any dispute, litigation or cost overruns.Person Specification :
Degree/ diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification relevant to facilities management. 8 to 10 years of facilities management experience in a large/ diverse commercial establishment with minumum 5 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity. Well-versed inJAFZA and DAFZA facility-related regulations and standards. Solid experience in handling warehouse facilities and maintaininginventory handling machines and equipment. Proven track record of interfacing with facilities-related governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and third-party service providers. Understanding of warehouse safety and security standards and previous exposure to handling of dangerous goods. Excellent communication, negotiation, and planningskills
