We are currently looking to recruit experienced Assistant Service Manager for our Honda Service Department.The primary focus of the role will be to assist the Service Manager in managing the operations of the workshop to ensure it achieves or exceeds given levels of customer service satisfaction in accordance with company policies and procedures. Operate the department at maximum production and ensure technical efficiency, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, obtaining sales and profits objectives and maintaining service records.The main duties within the role include the following:
Management-related:
Assist in forecasting goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with local regulations that affect service operations.Personnel-related:
Train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service dept. staff. Direct and schedule the activities of all service dept. employees. Provide technical assistance to service dept. employees. Conduct meetings with dept. employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.Customer- and Department-related and others:
Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Give all customers promptly and give fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance. Handle all customers' complaints effectively. Breakdown estimates into labor and parts before the job is started so that repair technicians are aware of time allowances. Quality-check all completed jobs. Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases. Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean. Account for all documents; ensure that none are missing. Monitor repair order trends, such as number of repair orders completed, number of items per repair order, sales per repair order, sales per service advisor, etc. Ensure that customers' service files are up to date and are readily available for reference. Monitor the location and care of shop tools. Collect accounts receivable for service work. Follow up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.

:The ideal candidate will have the following experience:* Essential to have 3-5 years experience in a similar position with a reputed company* Possess leadership, team building, and man management skills* Able to demonstrate numeracy, systems planning and implementation, and customer handling abilities* Possess technical knowledge in the field of auto service* Ability to handle difficult and demanding customers, ensuring achievement of customer satisfaction * Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written * Must have good command of the English language and Arabic is preferable* Excellent organizational skills * Ability to deal effectively with pressure and stress
