Linux Systems Adminstrator

Daily monitoring and maintenance of over 10 servers

Perform back up, file replications and script management for servers

Test and apply new software and maintenance patches, including patch management
services.

Complete security audits on a routine basis

Apache/Linux Performance tuning

Administrative scripting with Perl, Python and Shell

Plan and expand current capacity of the system

Run, manage & maintain corporate email system

Provide support to staff via telephone, e-mail, ticketing system and other tools.

Perform other job-related duties as required.

Skills

5+ years Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience

5+ experience with Apache web server

Red Hat Certification Engineering experience is preferred

Windows experience is a plus

Solid experience with multi-server environment / deployments

Ability to gather requirements, design and implement appropriate solutions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers.

Strong knowledge and experience with Apache, PHP, MySQL, postfix, clustering.

High Availability and failover scenarios, load balanced environments

Automation via scripting (Perl, Python, Shell)

File Replication, File System Tuning, Upgrading and Configuring

Troubleshooting

Disaster Recovery

Ability to work well with customers and in a cross-team environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
