Summary

This position is for an experienced individual who desires to grow and develop through self learning. It is essential for the applicant to Adapt to new techniques and procedures that are rapidly being introduced to this industry. The right candidate must courteously work on multiple projects with multiple clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapt to their individual needs, while maintaining the company’s web site according to corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities
• Creating the look and feel of the Makateb Web site
• Daily, Weekly & Monthly maintenance and updating of company website
• Developing graphic designs that effectively communicate the ideas being promoted by the web site
• Keep up to date with new concepts and ideas
• Discuss ideas for the layout and organization of corporate web site as well as different client web sites; types of colors or images to use (photos, illustrations, videos, etc.), and other matters concerning overall graphic design
• Use computer languages such as Java script to create web pages that are compatible with a wide range of hardware and software
• Collect text documents and images that will appear on the page and convert them into a form in which they can be viewed
• Use HTML & HTML extensions - to add special features to web pages such as animations and interactive surveys
• Familiar with issues of browser/server compatibility, including which browsers and servers work well together and which ones do not
• Work to meet client diverse needs
• Staying up to date with new web design techniques and procedures
• Working knowledge of web scripting, such as but not limited to; VBSCRIPT, JAVA SCRIPT
• Demonstrated experience with DOT NET
• Experience in designing of static as well as dynamic websites
• Experience with E-Commerce
• Working knowledge of Databases (SQL, ORACLE, ACCESS) linking the front end website to the data bases at the back end
• Hands on with graphical tools such as; ADOBE, Photoshop, etc.

Skills

• Qualified at HTML and knowledgeable of most current HTML extensions
• Working knowledge of FTP (file transfer protocol)
• 2-3 years of web development work experience
