Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is a division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd, dedicated to serving the academic, professional scientific and medical communities.

Nature Arabic Edition has a vacancy for a talented Arabic Sub Editor/Copy Editor.

This exciting position involves working as part of a small editorial team on a new Arabic science publication, Nature Arabic Edition.

The Copy Editor will receive translated articles (in Arabic) and will be responsible for editing and correcting said articles to near-perfection, as well as ensuring that all details and figures have been correctly translated from their original source.

Skills

To meet these challenging tasks, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Arabic copy-editing preferably in a reputable publishing house. As this is a science publication, candidates with a relevant background will be given priority.

Other important attributes include exceptional attention to detail, well-developed time-management skills and good interpersonal skills.

Main duties of role: Editing, proofreading

Previous editorial experience is essential.

This position is located in our Cairo office.
