Job Description
The Brand:
From our base in Kuwait, we support all areas of our retail and warehouse operations. At the close of each trading day, all sales figures and stock movements are downloaded to our head office and to our partners via our secure state-of-the-art IT system. Careful analysis allows the correct decisions to be taken for each individual business unit. EPOS technology is installed in every outlet in each country, and a web enabled communications network is in place. Each international brand has its own dedicated management team to service their particular requirements.
The Role:
Reporting to the IT Director, the Architect Technical Systems role is to design and implement in-house management and monitoring systems that will allow the support teams to assure high availability of systems. This includes the setup, configuration, deployment, integration and standards of how the systems will be managed and maintained to have efficient and effective IT systems to meet the business needs
Skills
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Design and implement systems for managing and monitoring the operational conditions of corporate systems and software.
Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems management efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
Acquisition & Deployment
Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems management solutions.
Document the company's existing EMS & SIEM systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
Operational Management
Model systems management processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
Develop reports on systems performance, capacity and overall health on a regular basis.
Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing systems management software.
Identify automation possibilities within the IT landscape and develop plans to remove manual routine tasks with back-end management systems or automation technologies, scripts, scheduled tasks.
