    Job Description

    • Assist the IT Manager in all stages on the day-to-day operation.
    • Have full working knowledge of all information systems in the Hotel.
    • Coordinate the timely repair of the faulty computer systems and equipment.
    • Establish and maintain procedures of the backup and restoration of all data and programs in the system.
    • Coordinate the data and emergency procedures in the event of system failure.
    • Enforce security procedures for the timely revision of user access rights and passwords for all applications and network system.
    • Keep all systems and software up to the current release.
    • Advise hotel management on the existing and future systems being developed/implemented.
    • Coordinate the investigations and timely of software faults reports or enhancement requests and maintain proper logs.
    • Assist departmental trainers in other departments in preparing training material on the effective use of systems in the hotel.
    • Set up and maintain the office automation systems in the hotel.
    • Support Systems, local area network, and wide system office.
    • Handle all administrative in the information system office.
    • Assist the users on the use of the information systems in the hotel.
    • To be on stand by and available at any time for trouble-shooting problems on the system.
    • To be available on request for any inquire/request by a guest.
    • To ensure that all back-up tapes are rooted and stored off-site.
    • Ability to write proposal for solutions and making presentation to clients of different audiences, operations or professionals.
    • Assist in the planning the weekly working schedules to ensure that the outlets/sections are adequately staffed to handle the levels of business.
    • Assist in the training of the employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum levels of productivity and efficiency.
    • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
    • Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

    • Solid understanding of the Windows Desktop and Microsoft & Novell operating systems administration, configuring of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printing, systems fundamental of security, installing third party software configuring clients on the network.
    • Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
    • Understands principles of routing, clients/servers programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
    • Familiarity with telecommunication standards and PABX
    • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, IP addresses, Subnet Mask, Gateway, IP routing.
    • Knowledge of HSIA, proxy server and firewall.
