Our client, a well known media company are currently recruiting a Business Development Director. You will be reporting directly to the Vice President Strategic and Business Development Key Functions To identify non subscription revenue opportunities. Explore feasibility of various business development projects related to the company's core platform. Participate in the management of partner channels. Duties and Responsibilities Growing business lines and delivering on annual financial targets. Leading and seeking out new opportunities and new clients across all disciplines including identifying potential partners where appropriate. Consolidating existing client relationships with the aim of securing repeat business. Leading tenders or business initiatives and assisting other divisions by providing targeted strategic input during the preparation of pre-qualifications and tenders in order to increase win probabilities. Well-developed communication skills including the ability to perform effectively in a team environment with a strong Client focus. Participate in partner channel negotiations to include negotiations for new acquisitions, relationship development for all 3rd Party Channels and re-negotiations where appropriate. To manage the negotiation process for programming in the region or on project basis where applicable. To identify business opportunities for incremental revenue or projects that will add value to the existing platform and draw up business plans and proposals for consideration. To develop 3rd Party International sales distribution for company's channels in other regions. To negotiate and make proposals for joint venture projects as and when required. From time to time aid regions or projects teams when business critical situations arise.
Skills
Profile and Skills At least 5 years experience in business development or related field. Excellent command of English (Arabic preferable but not required). High level computer skills in the following applications MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, MS-Project, outlook and the various Internet applications. Ability to multi-manage projects. Ability to work under pressure. Education Bachelors degree or higher
