Job Description

Job Objective:
Responsible for managing the internal and external communication in line with the approved brand and communication policies thus contributing to business development and helping to build the company's image.

Responsibilities:

 Ensures that all corporate communication activities are in line with relevant communication policies, procedures and protocols. Ensure that employees follow delegated authorities for external communication.

 Responsible for preparation of yearly communication plan, based on key corporate activities and requests from the Management Team as well as submit the plan for approval.

 Monitor and assess results of corporate communication and market education initiatives as well as provides feedback on their contents improvement.

Prepare internal and external templates for key communication messages and activities. Maintain repository of generic Qatar Cool presentations and communication material.

Prepare press releases and articles as required by the line managers and business development team and ensures it is accurate both in terms of contents and communication policy. May liaise with external agencies/consultants regarding press releases.

Act as a key point of contact for any media inquiries on company's activities. Coordinate circulation of Qatar Cool press releases and articles in the relevant media channels. If required, organizes press conferences.

Coordinate events, including provision of feedback on event contents, selection of venues, managing participant invitation process and supervision of the events’ execution.

Maintain contents of Qatar Cool web portal, intranet and website and ensures that the information provided is up to date and accurate. Coordinate with agency for all update and changes to web portal, intranet and website.

Develop the policies and procedures for the communications department

Skills

Qualifications:
Degree in Communication/Advertising/Media or related field
Post graduate degree will be an added advantage
Professional certification from relevant institutions

Proven track record in Public Relations or Communication
Fluent in English and Arabic
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Time-management and organizational skills
Creativity to communicate in different ways
Excellent interpersonal skills

About This Company

Qatar District Cooling Company , known as Qatar Cool, is a private sector joint venture company owned 51% by United Development Company (UDC), 44% by National District Cooling Company (Tabreed) and 5% by other private Qatari investors. Qatar Cool’s aim is to provide efficient district cooling solutions and services for commercial and residential projects in Qatar. Their district cooling operations in the West Bay area of Doha - consisting of two plants covering 10 square kilometres - is currently supplying over 67,000 refrigerating tons of cooling, serving more than 45 towers used for residential, commercial and recreational purposes. The capacity of both plants is enough to supply about two million square meters of air conditioned area. Qatar Cool is also commissioned to provide district cooling for the Pearl Qatar. District Cooling is an important feature in the Pearl's advanced infrastructure. It will be available through the island with a requirement of 130,000 tons of refrigeration when fully occupied. To supply this demand, construction of Qatar Cool district cooling on the island has already begun and will be operational in phases.
