Job Description

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Mission:
He manages and superintends site activities regarding construction, pre-commissioning, start-up and handing over of the plant to the Client, so as to satisfy the contractual obligations and targets fixed by the project Manager
He manages also the construction works carried out by the Contractors, ensuring that the time, cost, quality, safely and environment requirements of construction activities are meet.
Tasks:
1. Representing group at site and conferring with Client and local authorities for all site related activities and problems
2. Approving the HSE procedures for Construction and commissioning, ensuring their implementation
3. Ensuring the planning, scheduling, and feasibility, availing himself of the expertise of site organization key positions.
4. Ensuring the application and, where not already arranged in the planning phase, the issue of suitable procedures for the definition of working methods and site regulations
5. Ensuring the implementation of the Site Quality Control Plan
6. Checking that he procedures defined for site activities are applied
7. Ensuring site logistics, also by purchasing the materials and services necessary for efficient site operation, within the limits of the assigned power and in according with company procedures
8. Ensuring with compliance with the local laws and regulations
9. Checking construction progress on a weekly basis, identifying any problem areas and requesting the contractor involved to take action, where required
10. Ensuring the preparation of work progress reports
11. Ensuring the achievement of the mechanical completion objective
12. Ensuring the management of pre-commissioning activities, availing himself of support from commercial.
13. Ensuring the issue of the Certificates of Completion required by contract
14. Ensuring the issue of the plant taking-over certificate.

Skills

Graduate Engineers (Mechanical), with 15+ years of experience in project construction manages and superintends site activities regarding construction, pre-commissioning, start-up and handing over of the plant to the Client, so as to satisfy the contractual obligations, Representing The company at site and conferring with Client and local authorities for all site related activities and problems, Checking construction progress on a weekly basis, Ensuring the implementation of the Site Quality Control Plan
Those construction manager MUST have:
- Technical degree (mechanical discipline preferred)
- Mechanical background with multidisciplinary experiences in EPC projects
- Fully skilled in coordinating and negotiating
- Basic knowledge in commissioning
- Experienced in direct hiring
- Minimum 15 years in Oil and Gas
- Minimum 8 years experienced in Oil and Gas as construction manager
- Aged less than 55
