    Job Description

    Our client, a reputable Telecommunication and Contracting company is currently seeking to recruit an Construction ManagerAs a Construction Manager you will be responsible for all activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Our client, have been selected to provide Port Operating Systems (POS) for Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, including design, procurement, integration and installation of the telecommunications, security and control systems and Infrastructure.Tasks and Responsibilities Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are in place and current. Lead and manage the team. Determine appropriate construction methods. Subcontract selection and management Materials Requisition. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress report and track costs. Develop and implement quality control programs. Confer with supervisory personnel, customers, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.

    Skills

    Knowledge and SkillsProven experience of carrying out Construction Manager activates as detailed below. Experience of working in fast paced Construction and Engineering project s within the Gulf and or Middle East. You will have a minimum of fifteen years in Construction with a strong focus on Telecomm Systems Integrated Projects and have a minimum of five years proven experience as a manager. Your communication skills, written and verbal will be excellent, your ability to negotiate and influence at a high will be well developed. You will understand the importance of paying attention to detail and have the capability to analyse and resolve issues. Your relationship building skills at a senior level will be key to the success of this opportunity. B.S. Engineering Degree or equivalent preferable, but not a prerequisite. This opportunity is open to individuals of any nationality providing they meet the criteria set out above. The role is based in Abu Dhabi, the remuneration package on offer where applicable covers accommodation, travel and subsistence.
