Job Description
The Creative Web Designer is responsible for the layout, visual appearance, developing GUIs, and usability of major and minor websites. Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis. Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the designs. He or she will be required to have experience in graphics, layouts, slicing PSD’s involving creativity and insight to graphic tools not limited to just Adobe Photoshop.
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
Skills
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Operates effectively as a member of the development team.
2. Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.
3. Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
4. Responsible for the design of web pages, graphics, GUIs.
5. Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format.
6. Demonstrates creative and out of the box skills.
7. Testing and fixing design error on the site by making use of different browsers and different resolutions;
Required Skills:
1. Experience in designing websites.
2. Minimum of 2 years of web and graphic design experience is required.
3. Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability.
4. Practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
5. Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment.
6. Bachelor of Science or Arts (BS or BA)degree is a plus but not required.
