The Superintendent role involves overseeing one or more rigs in an area of operations. The projected maximum span of control is four rigs, but that will be modified based on individual capabilities, number of rig contractors managed, logistics, well complexity and the Drilling Supervisors on location. The successful candidate will ensure that safe and environmentally-friendly drilling operations are conducted at all times. This will involve you in planning, reviewing, coordinating, monitoring, auditing, supervising and reporting on all manner of activities, working closely with colleagues in the wellsite, logistics and engineering teams.

If you have substantial broad experience as a Rig Manager, Wellsite Supervisor or Drilling Engineer with demonstrated knowledge of rig systems and crew evaluation methodology, this will be a great, exciting opportunity for you. Ideally, you’ll have a proven track record of accomplishments, with experience in several areas such as remote onshore locations, offshore drilling operations, underbalanced applications, HTHP, multi-lateral drilling or coil tubing drilling. You will be a good analytical problem solver for both surface and down hole problems who is willing to take on the challenge of running a multi-rig drilling program.

Together with excellent planning, organizing, English communication, and interpersonal skills, you’ll be expected to have initiative and drive to continually seek new technologies or processes to improve drilling efficiencies.

The Drilling Superintendent must at all times set high expectation for HSE compliance. This will include a constant focus on HSE in all operations and a willingness to shut down operations that are unsafe. Additionally, you will conduct safety meetings, job safety analysis (JSA), risk reviews, safety stand downs and quarterly safety reviews.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related subject, previous oil industry experience; good knowledge of drilling rigs, accessories and technologies; and an IADC / IWCF well control certification for drilling, workover and well services activity.
