    JOB SUMMARY

    To write engaging content about a variety of business topics for press releases, articles, editorials, websites, blogs for publishing in local, regional and international media and developing content for presentations for use in corporate communications.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Write engaging content about different topic for press releases, articles, editorials, websites, blogs, presentations and stories in English for Client Servicing Team & client
    Develop content for video news releases, storyboards as well as alternative media such as social networking sites and radio networks
    Work with the team and client to ensure that
    All content must be produced and submitted within the agreed timeframes
    Delivery of submissions must adhere to corporate language & brand guidelines
    Content and core messages aligned to the communications plan
    Adhere to deadlines for both internal and external requirements
    All content must be approved by the Client Servicing Team and client
    Ensuring that the text is well written, logically structured, in the right style for the intended audience & ensuring the text is in line with the client’s 'house style' - for example, that hyphens, capital letters and optional spellings are used consistently
    Make recommendations to the teams on appropriate use of communication channels and guidance on English grammar and content
    Ensure you are familiar with the client, the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market and keep demonstrating your knowledge
    Keep abreast of professional development such as new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
    Being alert to any potential legal problems in the text, such as libelous statements or breach of copyright, and discussing them with the Client Servicing Team

    Skills

    PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

    A Graduate degree preferably with a major in English
    Strong PC skills in MS Word and PowerPoint are essential

    EXPERIENCE

    A minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in journalism, public relations, communication or relevant field experience, such as IT and Telecommunications

    CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

    Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    Excellent written English, including spelling and grammar
    Arabic language skills would be beneficial but not essential
    A meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail
    The ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
    Ensure productivity and quality of work is produced to the highest standards
    Be able to communicate and talk to the client at a senior level
    You must be a team player, this is essential
