The Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project includes the development of offshore natural gas resources in Qatar’s North Field. Upstream, natural gas is produced, transported and processed to produce 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane. Downstream, dry gas is used as feedstock to produce 140,000 barrels per day of clean, high quality GTL fuels and products.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician.

Responsibilities:

You will be accountable for supporting preventive and corrective maintenance on Electrical Equipment based on approved Projects, Maintenance Strategies, Procedures and Working Instructions thus ensuring the Availability and Integrity of the installed Electrical Equipment and systems in the PEARL GTL Complex.

Skills

You should have at least OND/ONC or equivalent in Electrical with proven engineering/operations/ maintenance experience in either onshore or offshore facilities within the Petrochemical Industry. Knowledge and experience in Electrical Distribution, Electrical Installation, Maintenance Execution, Area Classification/IEC based Ex equipment and Electrical Protection Inspection/Testing is required. You have proven experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure. Exposure to working on both online and shutdown facilities would be advantageous.

You have knowledge in scientific principles, different measuring principles, engineering fundamentals and computer technology and have the ability to mentor junior colleagues. You will need be assessed and approved as an Authorised Electrical Person to fulfil the requirements of this position.

You have proven ability to work in a multicultural team environment and able to communicate effectively. Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory.
