    Job Description

    Our client, a leading engineering solutions is currently seeking to recruit an Engineering Manager to be based in Baku, Azerbaijan. You will be reporting directly to the General ManagerYou will be responsible for the daily operations management role of the facility to deliver the BP contract. You will be responsible for operations, customer satisfaction and quality. Should ensure the compliance of company, safety, environmental and governmental policies and regulations. Should be able to develop operational business plans to meet budget targets and manage facility performance to exceed customer expectations. Developing and implement lean manufacturing processes and approaches within the facility. To support and deliver the engineering and technical requirements as specified within the client maintenance agreements to ensure highest quality of service and repairs from the Service Centre. A key sales responsibility in supporting the regional growth and identifying upgrades and re-rates as well as operational adherence to sound engineering practices and quality systems. Key role will be ensuring the development of our procedures and also employees so that they meet and exceed the Weir Services Engineering Excellence Standards. Improve Health and Safety culture, pro-actively reduce accident occurrence and lost time accidents.2. Achievement of local business targets as set by General Management. 3. Management and supervision of workforce work closely and coach national workshop supervisor4. Achieve on-time delivery performance. 5. Develop and Deliver annual cost saving initiatives within the business. 6. Implement and manage a production scheduling system to deliver improved customer service levels. 7. Ensure efficient alignment and communications internally lead the morning accountability meetings to produce a team culture driven by results. 8. Ensure engineering excellence to provide world class quality. 9. Improve administration efficiencies and reduce overhead costs within the facility. 10. Implementation and management of Weir workshop operations and reporting procedures plus training of local nationals in how to use these procedures. 11. Maintain the interface with customer relations regarding repair activities. 12. Develop and implement effective customer communication techniques. 13. Identify and develop additional revenue streams to sustain business operations both within the BP contract and with external customers. 14. Accurate data management and forecasting. 15. Efficient inventory management and reduction of inventory turns. 16. Co-ordinate with local authority to ensure uninterrupted service activity on the Primosk Base. 17. Develop a team culture driven by results. 18. Ensure all personnel are aware of the principles of Lean and pro-actively promote the use of lean systems in accordance with the Weir Production System. 19. Ensure PDP's and succession plans are implemented and review progress bi-annually20. Reduce cost of poor quality. 21. Effective financial management of the workshop activities. 22. Maximize workshop utilization and overhead recovery potential. 23. Technical authority on all rotating equipment and mechanical related issues. 24. Compliance with engineering standards and industry best practice. 25. Provide supervisory support for on site installation, commissioning, service and trouble shooting26. Act as focal point for all engineering and technical issues across the Assets within the BP operation in Azerbaijan. 2

Knowledge of Asset Management contracts within the process industry. 7. Commercial experience with understanding of profit and loss accountability. 8. PC Literate - Including Excel and MS Project. 9. Fluent in English and Russian ad added advantage. 10. Proven leadership qualities11.
