Estimator

Job Description

•Should have a minimum of 3 - 7 years experience in joinery and furniture estimation and quantity take-off from drawings
•Should be able to handle large prestigious projects
•Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of interior fit-outs, joinery and furniture, upholstery, painting, etc.
•Candidate should be able to interpret specifications, price tenders, and prepare contract documents
•Be able to interpret and check drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates
•Should have knowledge of site execution and methods
•Be able to supervise surveys and interpret third party survey
•Strong in tender stage and post contract documentation
•Able to verify sub-contractor’s claims and certify payment certificate based on sub-contract agreements
•Debrief at critical phases or benchmarks, distribute and implement improvements in future designs or continuing phases
•Consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods
•He shall ensure the supplier / subcontractor database is maintained up to date at all times and consistently seek new companies to pre qualify for inclusion on our tender list
•Input feedback relating to Company policy & procedure to continuously seek excellence by improving, refining & modifying procedures.

Skills

•Fully conversant on preparation of spreadsheets. Knowledge of Timberline software would be an advantage
•Knowledge of FIDIC for the purpose of documentation and discrepancy for various contractual claims
•Knowledge of Primavera program would be an advantage
•Should have good knowledge of contractual English communication
