ROLE
DESCRIPTION

Mission:

Coordination and optimization of the material activities of the project through all its phases



Tasks:
-Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, on support to production dept, of fabric ability of project items by checking inventoried materials and drawing s and MTOs Keep under control the traceability of project Structures and Piping Lines materials in accordance with the Quality Fabrication System
- Follows-up the requisitions material, included in engineering scope, and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments according to job priorities and materials availability
- Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
- Organizes all Packaging and Shipping for necessary Project Loose Items and Hook-up Material for the Off-shore activities
- Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
- Prepares the electronic reconciliation file of project materials after prefabrication / installation activities
- May move or transport materials from one site to another, manually or using material handling equipment
- May arrange for repair and assembly of material or part
- May monitor and control movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system

Skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:
Candidate should have minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in Fabrication Material Coordinator (Warehouse Superintendent) in the relevant Industry.

Education

Technical background (mechanical preferred)
