Field Engineering Superintendent - Northern Iraq

Job Description

Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Project Duration: 5 - 10 years
Start Date: November/December 2012, with +/- 3 months in Dubai, then on a 28/28 rotation for Iraq.

The Field Engineering will be responsible for day to day management of operations associated with the development of two oil fields situated in northern Iraq.

Activities associated with the development and future operation of the Company's commitment in the area, and which the Field Engineering Superintendent will be involved, include:

- Managing and coordinating the requirements of the Well Engineering, Production and Civil Construction Department.
- Drilling and work-over operations involving a multi rig programme.
-Production and welltesting operations.
-Geological data acquisition.
-Civil engineering works.
-Material and logistics support.
-Cost control.
-Project Planning.
Sub surface production operations.
-Drilling, welltesting and completion operations management.

Relationships:

-Reporting to: Field Manager
-Liase with the Material and Logistics, Finance & Administration, Security and HSE Departments

Skills

Relevant Degree,
Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in an appropriate discipline at senior level,
Should be computer literate and fluent in written and spoken English.
A working knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.
