    Finance Director - Egypt

    Job Description

    Main purpose of role:
    Responsible for leading the finance function in country.
    Management of Centralised Finance, Company Secretarial and Treasury
    Ensure strong internal controls are maintained. Enforce procedures, controls and policies.
    Provide financial support to MD and business unit heads
    The role is a key member of the management executive team which is responsible for setting and delivering the strategy for the business.


    Core Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
    •Optimise working capital utilisation and maximise cashflow generation
    •Appraise and approve purchase requisition and payments
    •Formulate the annual business plan, the annual budget and the quarterly forecast
    •Review monthly financial reports and variances against budgets/forecast for all business units
    •Provide commercial support to the business through KPI analysis, contract costing and pricing, and financial analysis
    •Provide capital investment analysis and detailed financial justifications
    •Play a key role in selecting, assessing, negotiating and concluding acquisitions and PPP Projects.
    •Manage the Treasury function to make sure sufficient funding in terms of shareholder’s fund and/or bank borrowings to meet investment and operational requirements
    •Manage ongoing development/improvement of internal control, finance policies and procedures
    •Ensure compliance to accounting and group policies and procedures, and statutory financial audit requirement
    •Tax planning
    •Monitor the Company Secretarial functions and ensure compliance with local ordinance/regulations
    •Monitor Contract Management function to ensure minimization of contract risks
    •Manage central administration and building services functions to ensure resources are utilized to generate maximum benefits to the Group
    •Assist Regional Finance Office in ad hoc project and internal financial review for other countries, as required
    •Finance training to finance and non-finance staff of the Group
    •Staff development
    •Ad hoc assignments

    Skills

    Mandatory (i.e. must have): • Tertiary education
    •Professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA or equivalent
    •Minimum 6 years relevant working experience of which at least 3 years at managerial level
    •Good command of both spoken & written English
    •Good leadership and supervisory skills
    •Good communication and analytical skill
    •Self motivated and able to meet deadlines
    •Computer competency
