Job Description
1. Plans, directs, and coordinates the operation of vehicle maintenance and repair programs for the company’s owned vehicles.
2. Prepares and directs in-service training programs for newly employed personnel.
3. Reviews purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles.
4. Prepares short and long range plans for transport and transit system operation.
5. Plans and administers a preventive maintenance and vehicular replacement program for company owned vehicles.
6. Receives and processes vehicle accident and damage reports.
7. Prepares cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports.
8. Performs related duties as required.
9. Perform other duties as requested by the management.
Skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company staff, public and city officials
• Ability to supervise the work of his team.
• A combination of technical diploma, training and thorough experience related to this class of work, most preferable in mechanics.
• Knowledge in office management and computer literacy.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of vehicular maintenance and repair.
• Thorough knowledge of transit system management and operations.
