Job Description
• Check the quality of finished food products by assessing taste, texture, consistency, appearance, color, presentation etc.;
• Conduct recipe yield test by coordinating with cost controller and catering department
• Visit diners during meal service and input customer feedback/ suggestions.
• Coordinate with hygiene & quality division by submitting the relevant notes for continual improvement.
• Monitor food wastage & evaluate the cause & trends.
• Identify customer needs and expectations, to improve and maintain the quality of foods accordingly.
• Interact with chefs and catering supervisors regarding the daily menus and explore potential for better adherence to food quality standards.
Skills
• Preferably a Graduate / 3 Year diploma holder in Hotel Management & Catering Technology
• Background of working experience in a senior chef level in handling multi-cuisines (Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Arabic, Continental, Pakistani, Bengali, Thai etc.)
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Menu planning & food costing skills
• Extensive knowledge of multi cuisines.
• Proficiency in MS office.
• Capability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Asian national preferred
• Minimum 8 years Working experience in hotels and catering establishments
• Minimum 5 years of Middle-East working experience
